Top questions to ask when buying a used car
Did you ever think "ops, I should have asked about..." five minutes after you closed
a deal? It happens all the times. The excitement of the deal and the happiness of
finally buying what we desire often makes us forget to ask important questions before
closing the deal. The following is a list of must-ask questions that you should
make when considering buying a used car:
- Has the car ever been crashed?
- Has any bodywork been done to the vehicle (by you or by others)?
- Has any major mechanical work been done on the vehicle (by you or by others)?
- What is the correct mileage for this vehicle?
- How many previous owners has the vehicle had?
- Is there any outstanding finance on the vehicle?
- When was the last full service carried out on the vehicle?
- Has the car been imported and if so, have all relevant charges been paid?
- How long is the guarantee period on the vehicle, if any? And what does the guarantee
cover? Which parts are covered? Is labour included?
- When has the timing belt been changed?
- What is the VIN for this car?
- When have the tires been changed?
- Can I have a test drive?
Hope this will help you closing a good deal!
